Location

Located in the heart of Umbria, near to the spectacular hilltop medieval town of Orvieto, The Locanda is ideal for a week of yoga, sun and relaxation, surrounded by natural beauty. The large garden has a large free-form swimming pool and is surrounded by open countryside. There is plenty of space to walk and be free. There is a lovely climate controlled yoga studio. There will be two yoga classes a day and each guest will have the opportunity to practise at his/her own level making the week suitable for students of different abilities. Three meals are served daily and there will be plenty of free time to relax, enjoy the views, swim, read, sleep, have treatments or explore the local villages and countryside.

All meals are vegetarian and cooked to an excellent standard using local produce. And, on at least one evening, the pizza oven will be put to good use! If you have any special dietary requirements please notify us at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate these.

 There is a massage treatment room where a range of massage treatments are offered at very reasonable rates. Advance notice of interest is preferable and sessions should be booked at the beginning of the week. 

All bedrooms are en suite with shower, toilet and basin. Each room overlooks the gardens and has its own large wisteria clad terrace. Furnishings and fabrics complement the building and create a calm and comfortable environment. The farmhouse and the two cottages comfortably accommodate up to 20 students.

Yoga

Nadia will lead twice daily yoga practices incorporating fluid yoga asana, relaxation, meditation and breathing. Throughout there will be a focus on connecting to nature. There’ll be plenty of time for answering questions and classes will be suitable for all levels including complete beginners to yoga.

She has also studied in-depth with Christopher Titmuss during her 9 years practice of Vipassana Meditation.
