- We provide all the equipment, including mats, you need for our classes at Primrose Hill, Chelsea, Soho and Covent Garden. We regularly clean our mats. We do recommend that at some point you purchase a mat – it's just nice having your own mat which you get used to practising on and simply more pleasant to have your own equipment. We have several excellent mats available in the triyoga shop.
What do I wear?
- Some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms and a t shirt. Other people wear tight, stretchy leggings and tops. The only thing that matters is that you wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in.
- It's good to have clothes that keep you cool when you are active in asanas, but to bring a jumper for relaxation, when the body rapidly cools down. Some people also bring socks for the relaxation phase.
- In dynamic and ashtanga classes you will get sweaty and some people like to bring a small towel to class.
Do you have changing facilities and showers?

Can I eat at triyoga?
- Primrose Hill and Chelsea have the Madder Rose cafes onsite, serving everything from delicious, freshly made juices to organic, vegetarian main courses and desserts. You can pre-order your food or juice before your class and they will be ready for you after your class either to eat in or take away with you.
Can I eat before a yoga class?
- It won't be the best way to enjoy your class! When it comes to food and digestion each individual is different and needs to find out what works for them. In general we do not recommend a eating a large meal within 2 hours of a class - if you must eat within 2 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that it easily digested is best. If you've come straight from work and feel bushed, then try a small juice from the café.
Is yoga a religion?
- No. People with every kind of different religious and atheist beliefs practice yoga. The physical and psychological benefits of yoga are real and don't discriminate on the basis of race, religion or gender. The benefits also don't depend on chanting Om!
- However, your relationship with your practice is a personal and unique thing. Some people's yoga is a deeply spiritual practice.
- Whether you are honouring your God, honouring your body, or simply having fun, yoga is for everyone and brings all kinds of people together.
Do I need to be a member?
- triyoga doesn't work on a 'membership' model, but we would like you to feel that you belong here!

- Depending on how often you want to practise, you can: pay as you go; buy groups of classes (5, 10, 20 or 50); or buy monthly unlimited cards.
- More information here.
What if I am late for a class?
- Ideally we recommend that you arrive a few minutes before your class but we know, life happens, so we try and be flexible so that if you rush here and are one minute late we don't say 'tough'! Generally five minutes late is fine, but ultimately the teacher decides. If you're pregnant or coming to a baby class we say anytime is fine.
What happens if there's a queue and I'll be late for my class?
- We try our best to make sure this doesn't happen and to process you ASAP. One way around this (and that's not by not paying) is to buy groups of classes or unlimited cards. You can then just go straight to the self check in screen, check yourself in and print out your ticket (it even tells you how many classes you have left, which is neat!)
