Chris Swain, our anatomy and physiology teacher is a prize winning graduate of the British School of Osteopathy where he completed a four year degree in osteopathy in 2000. Part of his training involved a year of studies with prepared dissections at Guy's hospital. He has continued with these studies attending further courses with prepared dissections at the medical department of Sussex University.
Over the 15 years that Chris has been teaching anatomy and physiology he has developed a course which is specifically tailored for practitioners and teachers of yoga asana. Anatomy is not a dry and abstract subject with Chris. He brings the subject alive through an interactive style of teaching, which is enhanced by making use of visual images, 3D models and practical examples drawn from yoga asana, making anatomy relevant, accessible and enjoyable.
Accompanying his studies in anatomy and physiology Chris has pursued a passion for yoga since 1982.
