Amme Poulton
take it home:
developing your home practice
sun 04 august 2013 10.00am – 5.00pm
for all levels except complete beginners
£75
Amme Poulton has been taught to never let more than three days go
by without getting on her yoga mat. This workshop is all about
developing a happy, healthy home practice, making it easier to
commit to your yoga!
After practicing a strong, sweaty vinyasa flow, we will break down
the necessary elements to build a home yoga practice, and learn how
to modify the intensity level based on individual need. We will
discuss how to shorten a yoga practice, and what to do on the days
when we have no time or energy. In addition, we will practice
simple pranayama, meditation and journaling exercises (please bring
a notebook and pen!), and everyone will receive a hand-out
detailing Amme’s favourite sequences.
Expect to work hard and have fun! The day will end with a short,
sweet yoga nidra session to relax after all of your hard
work.
You will learn:
• Vinyasa sequencing basics
• Restorative modifications
• Simple pranayama exercises
• Tips for sustaining a home practice
This workshop is suitable for all levels except complete beginners,
or those nursing injuries, as it is will involve a challenging and
dynamic practice.

her body after two knee surgeries. After completing an Ashtanga
Training in San Francisco, CA in 2001, she began teaching yoga full
time. Over the years, her explorations of yoga brought her to study
with renowned teachers of a variety of styles, and she completed a
Hatha Training in 2003, and Ana Forrest’s Advanced Training in
2004. She taught in San Francisco, CA for 7 years before heading to
Tulum, Mexico and NYC, and now London since February 2009. She
teaches classes that are challenging and dynamic, creating a
practice that heals and detoxifies the body and mind. Emphasizing
awareness through precision, meditation in motion, and the art of
conscious embodiment, her classes challenge the body, engage the
mind and quicken the spirit. www.windinhair.com
